Bacon Deviled Eggs

I've been wanting to try deviled eggs. Not to cook/make but just to taste. I've never really encountered a restaurant (so far) that serves the dish. After a long debate (with myself), I've decided to look it up online to see how it's made. I found a few recipes and compared the ingredients. Apparently all you need is mustard and mayo. Easy enough i thought to myself. So here it is.

What you'll need:

3 boiled eggs
2 strips of bacon
1 teaspoon of mustard
2 tablespoon mayonnaise (i prefer to use japanese mayo)
salt
pepper
paprika

Slice the 2 strips of bacon into bits and throw into a hot pan. Cook until crispy and set aside. Slice the boiled eggs lengthwise and using a teaspoon, remove the yolks and place in a small bowl. Crush the yolks with a fork and add all the ingredients, including the crispy bacon bits. Use the salt and pepper for taste. Once mixed well, spoon the mixture onto the eggs. Sprinkle with paprika and that's it!

Enjoy!

  1. deviled eggs are usually served in hotel banquets. restaurants don't really make it anymore because of the amount of time it takes to make it. it is a classic dish! and im happy you tried it
