Frozen Strawberry Margarita

I wanted a hobby. And i've had quite an interest on cocktail making since forever. Why not combine the two? Our house bar had the necessities with just some minor purchases here and there i'll have a well-stocked bar (i hope.) in no time. So i thought i'd start with an all-time fave (when i say all-time fave i meant mine of course ;P). There's a place in BF Paranaque called Cosa Nostra and i just love their Strawberry Margarita served in a fish bowl. Yes a fish bowl. Not a margarita glass but a fish bowl. Anyway, i love it so much its the only drink i would order whenever i'm there.

Like i've mentioned i wanted a hobby.. so why not start with what you love?

Here's my first ever attempt in making cocktails.

What you'll need:

Jose Cuervo Tequila
Grenadine Syrup (Optional. I like my cocktails sweet.)
Triple Sec
Powdered Strawberry juice
Iodized salt
Lime
Margarita Glasses
Ice
Blender

Prep Glasses.
Take a wedge of lime and wet the rim of the glass. On a saucer pour some salt and rim the glass with salt.

Cuervo time.

Take equal parts of tequila and triple sec (i.e. 1 jigger of tequila = 1 jigger of triple sec). This can vary according to how strong you want the drink to be. I prefer two equal parts of tequila and triple sec. Pour it in a blender and add 2 tablespoons Strawberry concentrated powder and ice. Blend until smooth.

Pour the concoction on margarita glasses and garnish with a lime wedge. Then Repeat. :)

Enjoy!
